Duties:

Implementation, ongoing management, and troubleshooting of Avaya communication systems
Manage and handle Avaya media servers, media gateway, and IP phones etc
Assist PM to deliver project management service to customer’s project including project planning, task scheduling, control and monitoring of project execution, risk management and progress reporting
Assist PM to resource planning, allocation and cost control
Organize and attend meeting to report progress and resolve any project related issues

Requirements:

Degree holder in Computer Studies or equivalent
At least 5 years work experience in IP Telephony infrastructure
Solid experience in project management
Certification of PMP or PRINCE 2 is an advantage; but not essential
Solid work experience in Avaya products is a must
Certification of CISCO or Microsoft products will be an advantage
Strong networking background and understand network operation
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, Putonghua is an advantage
Candidates possess more experience will consider as Team Leader or Project Manager

Major Responsibilities

To monitor and administer various IT systems and database servers

To set up and monitor IT infrastructure, conduct system backups and execute disaster recovery plan

Qualification

System Engineer

Job Description:

Doing Level 1/2/3 Support of existing Telco VAS solution in Indonesia
Conduct preparation for new system installation
Planning and conducting on-site customer support and training
Assist the customer through the go-live phase with the new system
Perform other tasks that may include new product testing, quality assurance, hardware testing, and documentation

Requirements:

Bachelor degree or higher
Have min. 2 years experience, Telco experience is an advantage
Strong knowledge skill in Unix Environments (SUNOS)
Good Knowledge in shell scripting
Good understanding and hands-on on basic database administration, especially Oracle.
Having knowledge in network concepts (LAN/WAN)
Creative, highly motivated, hard worker, problem solving minded, and should be able to work under pressure.
Good communication skills in English, written and verbally is a must.
Understanding basic Telco concepts, like network elements correlation with each other, call setup, etc
Have a good logic for programming

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In implementation phase to ensure in his/her own part that BSS/RAN network elements are implemented and accepted according to timetable agreed with customer, while meeting the quality targets set by Nokia procedures and customer agreements. In Care phase to support customer and NSN BSS/RAN team to provide best possible service to ensure network availability.

BSS/RAN Engineers main responsibilities:

Project responsibilities:
• Installation, commissioning, integration and acceptance of all BSS/RAN NW elements (BSC/TCSM/TRAU/RNC) according to Nokia documentation and customer agreements
• Participation in all CARE related activities in all LAM projects.
• Installation planning and Sub Contractor coordination.
• Supporting the Project Manager/Field Manager in planning phase as an expert of installation, commissioning and integration
• Help in ensuring of the quality and that the project is carried out according to Nokia Customer Services procedures including the customer documentation
• Support for BSS/RAN projects
• Performing as a Tutor to Junior engineers to ensure proper competence transfer
• Customer consultation according to project needs and agreements

REQUIREMENTS:

Typically 2 -4 years directly related experience in telecom companies.
GSM backgroud preferable
EDUCATION (recommend level of education/knowledge):
B.Sc. or M.Sc. or in Telecommunications Engineering or in Electronics
